I've been in desperate need of a steel string for a very long time now, and my dad's been kind in helping my purchase... ...A Parker P6E! *These are not pics of my guitar. Mine will be coming in a week or so. Parker is probably my favorite electric guitar brand, but they make some good acoustics. Below is a list of it's specifications. Plus, I'll probably have it tuned up for me, and PLEK'd at my dad's shop. Happy Day. www.parkerguitars.com/code/models/models_acousticp6_specs.asp

Well, she came in today, and it was generally a generically rad experience. It's body was a bit smaller than I really remembered, and over all I give it's construction 8 out of 10. It has a tight-grained ebony fretboard, which I like. It has a pretty versatile feeling about it, as it handles shreding and fingerstyling to even degrees. It has a sharp upper range, though maybe a little too-mellow lower end for my immediate taste. There's onl one thing that relatively bothers me though. There's a series of cracks right around the XLR and 1/4" inputs. It looks like the screws for the plate wer drilled to tight and caused an awkward appliance of pressure on the side, causing it make the finish crack a little. It is purley an aesthetic flaw... And this may say sound utterly insane, though I will probably keep it, instead of returning it. My dad has been very generous in purchasing this guitar for me, even in light of a few rough dealings and a not-so-cheerful repot card from his son. Besides, he probably got ridiculous discounts on this thing, seeing how Parker is blowing this model out, and my dad's guitar store distributes Parker axes... Mostly though, I'm pretty happy with it.
Sound clips are still a go.

Glad you're happy with your new axe. Too bad about the cracks in the finish, though. I would have expected better QC from Parker.

We sent it back today. Parker is going to replace it... Which means another week of waiting for the mail... *Sigh

...And as much of a pain in the ass as it was, the second one came in today. No more flaws, and it plays just as well as any other P6e. Broke a string already playing in open E. I always swap factory strings rightaway, anyway. I'll post some clips when I can.

Peeking in this thread for the 1st time now...I didn't know Parker made acoustics either. Interesting, as I too am a fan of their versatile electric models.
