Ok then.... so i finally did it.... pulled the trigger on a Vox AC30 Custom Classic 2x12 For anyone that's interested the specs are here > www.voxamps.co.uk/acseries/ac30cc.aspIt finally arrived on Thursday, my first valve amp this thing is awesome! it's so versatile (and freakin LOUD!) and there's so many different tones to be had from it that i've barely scratched the surface yet (due mainly to a recent incident involving a sharp knife and the tip of one of the fingers on my fretting hand, making playing a little tricky at the moment) I bought the amp direct from Korg/Vox for less than 2/3 of the normal store price, due to a minor issue (which i fixed) Korg kindly gave me a £90 refund! so its now cost me less than 1/2 price so a spare set of valves has been ordered along with a Digitech Badmonkey overdrive, this amp loves pedals, i plugged in my pedal board and tried everything, thinking somethings gonna sound like ass through this amp, but no, everything sounded great. I my AC30 THE END

I'm so jealous right now! Congratulations on your new amp! Now you need to get some recording gear, so we can hear this beast

That's awesome stuff. AC30's are the Coupe de grace of many people, and I happen to be one of them. One day I will most definitly own one...Which just might be my dad's AC30...

Thanks guys! Hunter, do your research buddy, and if you find bad reviews of your chosen amp dig a little deeper, the ac30cc2 gets slated on the internet for poor reliability, a little digging and i found out it was just cause some of them were shipped with dodgy rectifier valves, i changed mine just to be safe, good luck with your search buddy, let us know what/when you get one. Skeleton Keys, "Coupe de grace", you know it bro. PRSplaya & Akira, it's talent that i need before recording gear I hear ya tho guys, one day it will happen! Zoso, i'm chime-ing like a good'n ;D done 'Ticket to ride' gotta work on 'fat bottomed girls' good to see ya back buddy.

I did a couple of mods to the amp today, cause mines a NOS model it had a couple of the minor issues that the early versions suffered from: Effects loops sucks bass, so i swapped the appropiate capacitor. Tremolo speed too slow, so i swapped the 2 offending resistors. All is now well
