I use a Boss DD-3 delay, and have no problems with it whatsoever. It's a very nice delay. Simple to set up, and sounds like it's supposed to. It sounds good in front of your amp, or in the effects loop. It's the only delay pedal I've ever used, so I don't have anything to compare it to. If I were in the market for another delay, I'd try to find one that had a tap tempo function, so you can set the speed of the delay while you're playing, with the tap of your foot. Failing finding one like that in my price range, I'd probably get another DD-3.

I second what Eric said.
Boss do a tap tempo delay pedal called the DD6, but they've also stuck a load of other interesting-but-not-so-very-useful stuff on it. It also costs a bit more.
I'd go for the DD3, good quality delay for a modest price; like Eric, it's the only delay pedal i've ever used, however if it aint broke, don't fix it!

I have a DD-5, which I presume is the DD-6 predecessor. I've had it well over 10 years. It has tap tempo, but I especially liked the hold function on it...which loops 2 seconds infinitely, which is just barely long enough to put in a short riff or 2 chords or so, and then practice lead with it. I guess nowadays it's much easier to record to pc for a true backing track, but it wasn't when I bought it. Anywhoo...yeah, for a dedicated pedal, can't go wrong with Boss. Great sound and built like a tank.

I have a Trex Replica which is an awesome delay pedal. It's pricey tho, but worth every cent. I paid 400USD for mine and love it to bits.
It has Tap and various outher options to make it sound awesome, but now weird (no reverse delay or any thing likt that) Just various settings for decay and such...
Quite simply, it's my favourite pedal.

Iv had the DD3, DD5 and am currently using the CC6.
The 3 was cool and was stolen. The DD5 was sold in a moment of madness and I still is the 6.
They are all good.

I use the Boss DD-3 also....Great pedal, only thing I wish it had, like everyone else, is the tap tempo function. Been thinking of getting a DD-6 for this, but that'll be after a few other purchases...

I've got a Boss ME-50 that has two seconds of holding time, though it just doesn't do it for me. How much more holding time is available in other pedals?
