I'm maybe tempted to buy a fuzz pedal. I've been looking at the Catalinbread V8 Fuzz but i'm not sure; there seems to be such a variety in fuzz pedals and tones available that i'm not really sure where to start.
I don't want one for mega insane fuzzy shit on a ham fuzz, more for a very smooth, liquidy fuzz, ala Eric Johnson.
Cool, I will definetly take that one in to consideration! Looks pretty big though! I was hoping to find one the rough size of a normal single pedal (boss style) to fit in my pedal board but maybe i'm too picky!
Try searching the gearpage.net, there's bound to be a boooteeek version of the fuzz face in a more standard sized enclosure, they're a real bunch of cork sniffers over there but they know their gear.
EDIT: i've just read Eric's MI Audio Crunchbox thread, maybe you should check out their site and take a listen to their 2 fuzz boxes, the Neo and the Gi, i think the Neo sounds closer to what your after, Gi's retail for around £80 Neo's around £90.

funny you should mention The Gear Pages. I've been a member over there for a pretty good while now. Great place with a great group of people. Definitely a lot of cork sniffers over there, so usually have to be specific with your price range. It's where I first heard about the Crunchbox.
btw, I use the same name over there.
