Soundclick pageHere's something I've been meaning to record for awhile and finally got around to doing this afternoon. It's just a short piece by L. Mozart called Bouree, but it's fun to play and melodic...it's the kinda tune you might whistle. According to the notation, it ends after the second passage at the :55 mark, but I like returning to and finishing with the intro melody...so I did. This is actually my first recording since I finally gave in and started growing my nails (i,m,a) out a bit. I was always against growing them cuz I just thought it was gross, but now I've realized they don't even have to be that long to be effective. Plus I file the curves down to make a kind of ramp, so only half of the nail is long. I tried my thumbnail too, but it always sounded like crap, so it's still just all flesh. I'm still getting used to them, so there's a few scrapes or misc. noises here and there, but I think the tone is worth it!

I like that alot! It's a nice little dramatic piece.
And you've got some other stuff I like on there too. It's good stuff.

No need to start another thread for the same purpose as this one. So here is another etude. This one's called "Clarin de los Mosqueteros del Rey de Francia". Like "Taps", it's a somber military bugle call. It's super easy to fret (I don't think there's ever more than 2 fingers pressed at once) and fairly easy to pick...but still fairly demanding for good tone, soft touch, and timing.

Sounds really nice to me. However simple it is it still sounds hard to me, that style is completely above me.
