For me it would be this It only cost me £50 off e-bay, been dropped TWICE! with no damage, lays in the back of the car on cold days for upto 10 hours awaiting jam sessions yet never goes out of tune, it's neither my favourite nor my main guitar but it is a good, solid, dependable axe.

I have 3 pieces of gear that I'm sentimental about. My PRS, because it was the first piece of high quality gear that I bought with all of my own money, and is my favorite guitar. My '61 Gibson GA-5 amp, because it was my dad's and his brother's when they were young. And lastly, my Fender Redondo acoustic, because it was my first "real" guitar, and is my "workhorse".

This here git-box: I don't even really play it that much, now that we Greasy Knots are no more. I tend to play my other guitar, as it doesn't require plugging in and stays in tune a lot better: I just don't feel as strongly about it as the strat. The strat was my first guitar and all other strats feel inferior to me. It doesn't stay in tune all that well and has some crazy pickup hum I haven't bothered to get fixed, but I still love it. You'd have to pry that thing from my cold dead fingers. ...or, you know, just grab it while I'm not playing it.

Everything. If our house was on fire Id burn trying to save everything at once.
And here is Simon trying to fit a 20 rack space 6ft video editing table out of a 2'3" window. Watch in amusement as the little hare he has left catches fire ! I bet you have never heard any of those words used in such a descriptive or imaginative way before !
Doomed !

Thanks stratman... I've since gotten rid of some of the gear in that picture. I don't have the Peavey Classic 50 (the amp behind the PRS), I sold the Schecter Blackjack to BigBuda, and that Boss pedalboard (not the pedals) is in the hands of Dr. Simon now. I also sold that house too.

Hey Eric i didn't actually spot the Classic 50, how are they? a few bods on the net have been pickin them up from Guitar Centre in the US for around 350 bucks (unsubstantiated rumours are that Peavey are killin them off) they're still £650 in the Uk but if they drop to £350 i might consider one if they're any good?

The Classic 50 is a very nice amp. I heard the same rumor about them being discontinued. I would say that it has a British style voicing. I wouldn't say it's Marshall, or Vox, but it does have similarities to both. It's perfect for anything from blues/country up to hard rock. It's got a nice open versatile tube tone. It does benefit from higher quality tubes, and a speaker swap, but it still sounds real nice in it's stock form.

I sold the Schecter Blackjack to BigBuda... Hey yeah, I think I gave that one a strum when I went over there that time. Pretty nice. I have 4 acoustics, but none are super special. And my amp is just a solid-state Peavey 12" that's pushing 13 years old. My only sentimental gear is my Epiphone. I just love it's look and feel. I foresee it going in my will someday.

Earthman, what happened with the Greasy Knots? who was the other guy, was it Acapella Yeah, Mike. We basically had to give it up for a bit because I moved to Winnipeg to go to university and Luke and Mike stayed out in the country to...decay. I don't have a car (and even if I did, I would never be able to afford driving back and forth a couple times a week), so we called it temporary-quits.

duh... but i would have to say that despite my complete abuse to my other strat in the past 6 years..... the humbuckers i slapped in it sound sooooooooooooo good through a tube amp it almost makes me cry. such a thick warm blues tone... you can almost cut it with a knife. all you need is a touch of reverb and the tone is perfect..... you can say it has a lot of..... character??

haha, it's been set on fire on numerous occasions... i have had 4 different pickguards on it since plastic and fire don't really get along... the single coils finally stopped working so i chucked some buckers in it... haven't set it on fire in a long time, and probably won't.
it's been thrown across stages... i literally don't keep it in a case so it gets pretty beat up... and an ex girlfriend even chucked it across a parking lot once... i went through a phase where everywhere i took it a drug it on the ground...... because i was too lazy. it was my first electric guitar and if anyone ever stole it i would go insane. its a mean little axe though.
