I dug out an old stereo chorus pedal this afternoon and had a go running both my amps from it, it sounded pretty pretty cool! I'm gonna experiment a bit more when i get time, wouldn't mind trying one amp clean with a little delay and the other amp with a little dirt (mmm, gonna have to beg, borrow or steal a delay pedal)
Any of you guys ever run stereo rigs? what effects combinations do you use? any tips to share?
I might just have to mod my A/B switcher to A/B/Y

once you start adding more than one amp to your rig, the possibilities are endless.
Another option to consider, is running a wet/dry rig (for 2 amps) or a wet/dry/wet rig (for 3 amps, or one amp a power amp and two extra speaker cabinets).
Once I get the rest of my gear up here, I'm going to try running the effects send of my 5150 to my delay and then chorus pedal, and then the left out to my Valveking and the right out to my YCV50. That way, I'll be keeping the 5150's tone through all amps (with only the tone variations of the speakers/cabinets/tubes), but have it in stereo through the two slave amps. It will be MASSIVE!!!!
You can do the same thing with two amps (wet/dry), but it wouldn't exactly be stereo (well, sort of, I guess). Try doing it as wet/wet and dry/wet to see which one sounds best.

Thanx for the advice Eric as you probably already know, i'm just a 'bedroom warrior' running a couple of SS amps, my jamming buddy runs a SS 2x12 combo and it has soo much more depth than a single speaker combo, so i was pretty impressed running both my amps together today, it just just sounded 'bigger' up untill now i've always just switched between amps depending on what i'm playing or what tone i want, but now i think i'm gonna build me an A/B/Y pedal and have a play around and see if i wanna go wet/dry (effect/no effects) or wet/wet (modulation/dirt) as you say there are endless possibilities, thanx again bud, this is gonna be fun! P.s Your stereo rig IS gonna upset the neighbours ;D

yeah, it's going to be pretty ridiculous. ~160 tube watts... 2 12" speakers in a closed back cabinet, and two in open back cabs... I'm thinking it's going to be pretty insane.

Yeah, it's certainly gonna make your kilt flap in the breeze when you toggle that standby switch I estimate 9.8 on the Richter scale ;D

Anyway, I've been wanting a stereo set up myself...Just need to save up for that Orange Rockerverb I've been wanting....or a Soldano Hot Rod 50......or a Dumble

ha ha, good luck on the Dumble. Personally, I've never got the mysticism or holy grailness that the cork sniffers rage about. It was just one guy who built a few amps. I know there's a little more to it than that, but still. I've never played one myself, for obvious reasons (the lack of huge amounts of disposable income being the main reason), but I don't really get what the hype is all about.

Haha, yeah, I just threw the Dumble in there as a joke as I know they cost like $10,000.
I don't get the hype either...A lot of it is probably because SRV used them.
