My company just hooked me up with a new computer (CAD station) here at work....it's badass...
2.40 gigahertz Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 (Quad Core) 2 10,000 rpm 40 gig hard drives 4 Gigs of ram Dual 19" widescreen monitors (which I already had) Nvidia Quadro FX 1700 display adapter (512MB memory on video card) Also just got the new AutoCAD software. AutoCAD Civil 3d 2009 and Land Desktop 2009. For anyone that works with AutoCAD, the new 2009 version looks a lot different. Gonna take some getting used to.
Anyway, enough bragging about the new computer....
I downloaded and installed Itunes for my Ipod. Itunes won't pick up the Ipod when it's connected. I went to the help section under Itunes and could not find a solution. Anyone else ever had this problem?

I have, but I can't remember how I fixed it.
Oh, wait...is your iPod's 'home base' a different computer? Because I think iPods have some dumb thing where you can charge them from other computers (as long as they're the same OS), but you can only put songs on from the one you first hooked it up to. So you might have to reformat the iPod and make your new awesome computer its parent computer.

That's awesome! I can't wait until I can start working again, and using AutoCAD. Haven't been able to use it in a long time, since my computer won't run windoze anymore. I believe 2007 is the newest version that I've used, and I thought it was a nice improvement over the previous versions.

You can probably change the settings on your home computer so you can sync with other computers. Is manual song managing on, that could also be a problem if its not.

Well, your supposed to be able to "activate" up to 5 computers with an IPod. I activated the new one, but it still won't connect to the IPod. I might have to de-activate the first "parent" computer, just thought of that...
