I was on my motorcycle. I was doing about 60mph and he was doing 120. This is his second in a month.
Unless somebody wants to copy my post from the GT admin forum, I'll save more details for tomorrow.
I've got a lot of road rash and a broken kneecap, but all things considered, I should be dead right now, so I'm pretty thankful be posting this right now.
'Night, everybody. Hope all's well in yer neck of the woods.

Jesus, man. I'm glad you're okay. A broken kneecap sucks, but...Jesus.

Damn! That really sucks! I would copy the post for you, but I don't have access to the admin section over there since I'm not a mod anymore. I hope you have a speedy recovery. I'm sure Meghan will be a good nurse

Hope they throw the book at him! Dude, he's a Soldier. Once my Captain and First Sergeant get ahold of him... They didn't talk about it in front of me, but they had some serious blood in their eyes last night. Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone. I'll post more details later.

Drunk and going 120mph? What was he thinking? Yep, it sounds like you're very fortunate! Glad to hear it, and wish you a full recovery.

I didn't realize he was a soldier. Oh yeah, he's screwed. Probably 30 days in the hole making little rocks out of big rocks, a reduction in rank and a fine....

That's terrible... I'm glad you are ok though...
It really burns me up to think in this day and age, people still pull that kind of crap. Some people really don't give a crap about anyone else.
How did the bike fair? Write off?

Glad your okay Bro....
Everyone used to ask me if I was ever scared to ride my bike, and I would always hear how dangerous they are....In all reality, it's the other drivers out there that is such a danger to a bike rider, and around here, deer.....

How did the bike fair? Write off? The insurance company hasn't looked at it yet but I don't need them to tell me it's totaled. In all reality, it's the other drivers out there that is such a danger to a bike rider WORD.

The doctors decided yesterday that my knee isn't broken. I guess some people's kneecaps are naturally in two pieces. And yeah, I hope he thinks of me every time he starts his car

Depends on what you consider "recovered."
Maybe I can run again in a month or two.
The road rash isn't going to look "normal" until maybe three years from now. As an added bonus, it also makes me much more susceptible to skin cancer.
That said, I don't think my knee is ever going to be really "right" again and who knows what long-term damage has been done to my neck or other joints that I won't discover for a while to come.
Still, I'm glad to be alive.

This might be a stupid question, but...how much did it hurt? Like, say on a scale of 1-30, where one is a mosquito bite and 30 is killing yourself so you won't have to feel it anymore.
I've just always been curious what getting hit by a car would feel like. And, you know, don't particularly care to test it out.
