Great idea for a thread bud. And very nice pics of Oregon too. In my part of Texas you don't see such vast landscapes, except for the beach, but even there the visibility is limited to the curve of the earth and humidity haze. But anyways, here's a few from my neck of the woods... Looking over West Bay in Galveston towards the mainland at sunset: Yet another sunset from my "backyard" where I just moved from: Part of my Granny's pasture in East Texas, about 100 miles north of here: Ok, so this isn't Texas, but near my Mom's house in southern Colorado:

Holy JESUS that last pic is nice, Rustee. And those painted hills are pretty amazing too. I'm going home for the weekend, but I happen to know from experience that Inwood doesn't have a lot going on in the way of scenery.

Holy JESUS that last pic is nice, Rustee... Thanks. Actually my wife took it, but I was standing there if that counts ;D But yeah, amazing colors (no digital enhancements). We just happened to be there at the right time, cuz they transition rather quickly.

Yep, those are the pyramids of Moody Gardens. One has a mini rainforest with exotic birds, butterflies, and small animals. One is an aquarium, and the other is a more typical interactive science museum. Since you explicitly said none, here's a link to a google pic

yea...it looks really "Egypt like" in your pics.....except the sun in Egypt in relation to the pyramids and Nile would be all twisted around...that looks like a cool place to visit!!
