I don't know if anyone else on this forum has read any of the books, but I have been a fan for a few years. Ever since I introduced the books to my son and we started reading them together.
After the third book - Prisoner of Azkaban - I was hooked.
Anyways.. I got the last book at Midnight on the 21st, and read it pretty much any chance I got on the weekend - finishing it Sunday night.
I definately enjoyed the whole series.. This book was really great, even with all the death in it. I just couldn't put it down until it was done. Going to miss them now that they are all done.

*shrug* glad you liked it, but HP just never has interested me. I'm actually pretty happy its all over, so people will stop freaking out about it. thats just me though...

Yep. I've actually been up for the last 54 hours reading it... I think/hope I'm just going through a bit of insomnia (that tends to happen, time to time). PLus, I'm kinda a slow reader, you see. I thought it was very, very, very well done, though I was a little overwhelmed by all the things that were happening. Then I thought to myself she's writing this like it's something right out of his life, so I submitted to my doubts and insecurities of the book.
I thinked Ms. Rowling matured greatly as a writer over time. The last two were well done, but not to the calliber as "The Deathly Hallows"... Lots of words and synonymns I've never seen in there...
I'm kind of sad it's gone, though I'm sure this will be a most defining series through the ages... (Or something cheesy like that...)

Yeah.. I'll definately miss them too. I loved the anticipation of waiting for the new book. Not only did I have to mourn all the dead characters, but i'll have to mourn the whole series... I'm still holding some hope that she will write some shorter stories about Harry for charity as she said she may do...

I went through it like a dose of salts. I loved the first 4 and hated Order of the P and was pleased to see a return to form with half blood prince. I really enjoyed Deathly Hallows, not bad at all !!
I did enjoy the film of Order of the P though much worst things needed to happen to Umbrage !!
