What all pedals do you use, and in what order do you place them, and why?
Here's what my effects chain looks like:
Ernie Ball volume pedal --> Cry Baby wah --> MXR 6-band EQ --> MXR M117R Flanger --> MXR ZW-44 overdrive --> Diamond J-Drive MKIII overdrive + boost --> Boss CH-1 chorus --> Boss DD-3 delay
I put the volume pedal first in line, because I like to use it as a gain reducer rather than full volume swells. It keeps me from having to fool with turning the volume down on my guitar, while still trying to play. I use the EQ out front, because it lets me shape the tone being inputed into the amp. Plus, it gives a little gain boost. I use the Flanger before the overdrives and amp, because it just sounds better before distortion than after distortion. Next comes the overdrives... I use the ZW as a little gain boost for the amps distortion channel, which makes it sound meaner and tighter. The J-Drive is used as a volume boost and for some more classic overdrive/distortion tones.
I don't put any effects through the effects loop... simply because I like how they sound out front. I really only like putting the delay in the loop, but I also like the sounds of a delay in front of the amp. So, I just leave it out front and don't fool with all the extra cabling that would be needed.
How about you?

I love gear threads I'm pretty minimalist with effects considering i'm constantly suffering GAS, my chain is thus; Behringer compressor--> DigiTech Bad Monkey--> DigiTech Screamin Blues Overdrive --> Danelectro Fab Distortion--> Electro Harmonix Nano Switchblade--> Amp Danelectro Fish'n Chips EQ --> Danelectro Fab Chorus--> Effects Loop I use compression up front mainly for clean sounds and occasionallyas a boost, the DigiTech Bad Monkey gives me a nice smooth low gain overdrive and really excells as a boost, either into another dirt pedal or just into the amp, it gives the amp a nice 'snarl', the Digitech Screamin Blues does a good 'gritty' overdrive for some proper dirt, kinda bluesy lead tone/crunchy rhythm kinda thing, the Danelectro Fab Distortion is just a fantastically versatile (clean boost/light overdrive/crunch/distortion/fuzz) real vintage sounding distortion! i use the Fish'n Chips Eq in the effects loop to 'tweak' my tone, it's also useful as a boost, and chorus, well it's chorus innit! fattens up the clean sounds nicely or gives you a bit of a 'wobble' if you need one, i particularly like the Fab Chorus because it's quite thick sounding and really fleshes out clean guitar parts, i place it in my effects loops cause it sounds better there. Just gotta get me a delay now!

Boss TU15 Tuner -> Ernie Ball 6166 Volume Pedal -> Morley Bad Horsie 2 Wah -> Keeley Compressor -> Boss CH1 Chorus -> Keeley DS-1 Ultra (fx loop) - > Boss DD3 Delay. I like TU15 for the analog needle, you need to bend over to turn it on but for me that's no problem. The volume pedal is out front for the same reasons as Eric. I like a modern sounding wah, hence the Bad Horsie. I've been through a few compression pedals but the Keeley is the only one I've ever been truly happy with. It's expensive but it's fantastic; I leave it on nearly all the time. I have the CH1 out front because I only use it on the clean channel so there's not much point putting it in the fx loop. The DS-1 is in the fx loop for use as a boost should I ever need it. I originally bought it to sort out the awful distortion on my old Crate amp. The DD3 stays in the fx loop because that's where a delay pedal should be. I'm honestly very content with this set up and I can't see there being any changes any time soon.

I use , in order:
Zvex Wah Probe, HBe Uno Mos preamp boost, Planet Waves strobe tuner, Full Tone Full drive 2, T-rex Replica delay.
This is all infront of my amp, and is all true bypass, so no bad hum or buzz. As soon as Lovepedal finish buliding my order, this line will include a Redwicth Moonphase and a Lovepedal MagicVibe, but I don't know where.
I currently run my delat in front of my amp, since I don't ever use my amps distortion and the dealy. Ultimately, I want to take all my ,modultaion and time based effects and put them in my effects loop, just currently, that makes no sense as it doesn't make too big a sound difference (seeing as it's really just my delay pedal at the moment) and would mean another two cables on stage, which is already cramped with 5 musicians and way too much gear.

Guitar -> Boss V-Wah -> Digitech Whammy -> EHX Big Muff Pi -> Boss DS-1 -> Boss PH-3 -> EHX Small Clone
I dunno why I do it this way....I think I remember a thread from the other forum saying wah->distortion->modulation->delay was kinda the basic setup. I put the whammy in after the wah just because I hardly use the wah, and there are a few songs where I need to jump from the other pedals to the whammy pretty quickly, so I don't like the wah getting in the way of my foot. The DS-1 comes after the Big Muff because it seems to get a better range of distortion when the grittiness of the Big Muff is getting pumped through it rather than the other way around. I almost never plug in the PH-3, but when I do it comes before the Small Clone because I was under the impression chorus also has a slight delay effect (more wisdom from that other forum).
