To everybody who likes Nick Drake, folk music, or just good singing and songwriting in general: get "Family Tree". I just bought it the day before yesterday. It's just come out in Australia - for all I know it's been out for months around the rest of the world - but it's a CD, released by his family, of recordings of Nick in the sixties playing a mixture of his own material and folk and blues standards. It's amazing - just him with a guitar (and sometimes accompanied by a piano - there are two tracks played by his mum, and one little piece of Mozart where he plays clarinet), playing and singing like a god. And for those of you who aren't familiar with him, he's a kickass guitarist... Anyway, this has come out sounding somewhat like one of those spam ads . But get it, seriously. It rocks, in a gentle folky kinda way. word

I read in the paper that it wasn't that good, but I believe you more than the stupid paper. I'll be sure to check it out.
