ilike.com/artist/CasOneI've been managing and playing with this guy... Stepping out of my proverbial box and really enjoying it. it's indie hiphop... something i've never done before... you can see his blue influence in tunes like puppet dance and one night stand... and he sampled dave matthews' big eyed fish for glass walls.... it's a different brand of hiphop i guess... let me know what you all think... i'd like to hear some opinions from people that are more intellectually inclined with music. haha

I thought the music sounded great.... You can definately tell there is blues influence there. I really liked what I listened too....
however that particular style of rap - personally doesn't appeal to me.
The only styles of the actual "rhyming" I can listen to are those that are rhythmically interesting. I don't know how else to explain it... it has everything to do with timing. I know that this style is out there and lots and lots of people love it, but to me it just sounds like he's trying to fit a long sentence into a measure and just speeds up the end in order for it to fit.
The intstrumental parts of the songs that I listened to rocked though... very good.

Sounded really great. The rap doesn't bother me, but I guess that's because my ears are naturally drawn to the backing music. This is why I can listen to songs a million times and still not know what the lyrics are.

I like the guitar phrasing... not the dude's rapping. It's an interesting fusion though.
