I'm so sad. I've suddenly found myself at a point where there are so many guitars I'm sure I want, though being 16 I hardly have money to have purchase any of them. I never being a guitarist could be so depressing...

I bought my first guitar to celebrate my 16th Biirthday. I earned the money with a paper route, delivering over 140 newspapers every weekday morning, with more than 200 on Saturday. The guitar I bought was a vile piece of crap, but it was my first, and I loved it.
I have a bunch of guitars now, but the fact is, I sound pretty much the same on all of 'em. Tone really is in the hands. So play the hell out of whatever guitar you have now. The better you play, the more sure you will be about what kind of guitar works best for you. And save your money for that guitar. You can keep your first axe, or trade it in on the new one. Whatever works for you. Thinking about new gear can give you a goal to work towards, but the main thing is to play what you already have.

I have quite a few axes, though I'll admit the only I really play is my Parker Pm 20 Pro... And I went through hell to buy that thing. I was in the need for a good electric, (currently-then-I only had this Fernandez and an Epiphone Dot Studio... or something) So I painted my dad's automotive upholstrey shop... Which was horrible. It was worth it though, 'cause that's hell of an axe. Right now I'm looking at a good "rock"" guitar, something with humbuckers, maybe a Bigsby, and allota crunch in the lower registers-(...A tele!) Nah... I'm thinking about an Airline Map. I almost bought this Godin Nylon Duet recently, though I'm glad I did'nt. I don't think it would be right for me-My forte is'nt flamenco music- and besides, it was hell of expensive.
