I went to Dunkin' Donuts and... their coffee sucks. I have gotten to that point where I am dependent on barristas and shots of esspresso to make coffee work drinking. I am a potential Starbucks goer (for now I'm going through the new-age hippie artsy fartsy coffee shop scene. Word.

I hate coffee. I only drink it when I'm cold or I *need* to wake up.
Tea, I'm all for, however.

Proper Newfie tea... has to be in a proper tea cup with Carnation evaporated milk... I haven't had it that way in years.. Newfoundland is the only place you can walk into a restaurant and they have a can of evaporated milk right on the table.... Now that is definately an acquired taste...

I never had a problem with it.
Christ, you go into my Uncle Eldrid's house and Mildred has a wood stove going 24/7, 365 days a year – she's perpetually baking bread and there's two kettles on top of it.
One kettle is full of plain hot water and the other has about eight tea bags steeping in it.
Pouring order goes as follows: Sugar and evaporated milk, tea then hot water.
Consume with homemade toast and blueberry jam while sitting around the table and picking on the easiest target within earshot.

Yup, my grandmother's house was always the same way... woodstove going all year round and the big kettle on top and something always baking in the oven... And you constantly have to eat... eat when you get up, eat again at lunch, mid afternoon, supper and early evening and snack before bed.... and lunch time... its not sandwiches.. you are talking a full cooked meal like roast beef or something along those lines....
Definately a lifestyle all its own.... and yeah they now how to make tea over there... strong... Not the weak crap that gets served everywhere else...

I usually go with WaWa coffe hot, usually french vanilla or plain, or one of the Starbuck's Frapacinno's. I enjoy tea, I almost always drink iced tea, but for some reason I don't enjoy hot tea in the mourning.

Oh.. Eric's friends and I have had many conversations on the hot tea/sweet tea thing... They just don't get the whole hot tea thing... and sweet tea to me is not the same thing... that's a strictly summer drink like lemonade... They think hot tea is just wrong and it wasn't meant to be drank hot...

I won't get into the whole hot vs. cold debate... All I'll say is, I prefer tea cold and sweet, I can tolerate it hot, but I much prefer coffee if I'm going to have a hot drink. Tea just doesn't have enough umph for me in the mornings.

LMAO!! Exactly my point... however its a southern thing.. and its not bad - like I said, sort of like a mixture of lemonade and cola... But it couldn't be an everyday drink like hot tea is - at least not for me. Eric's friends just couldn't understand... but like I told them.. yeah yeah.. the south is right and the rest of the world is wrong..

When my father was in college he once played rugby (or some other physical sport) with a bunch of Brits who were visiting and they offered him tea afterwards... He chugged it not understanding that fundamental portion of the English psyche.

I do tea sometimes. I don't really drink plain coffee... I do latte's, wet dogs... and thats it. And chai tea rocks my effing socks once it gets coldout.
Ice tea is the shizzle. I could shoot it up.
