I know that no one here follows motorbike racing, but anyway.
Basically a brit named James Toseland recently won the Superbike World Championship, and to celebrate he's throwing a party in my town at a club, and guess who got one of the very few tickets available. ;D
So on November the 10th I get to party it up with some of the finest motorcycle racers who have ever lived.
There'll be music too; his band is playing. ;D

So the party was a blast! There was a power cut half way through James Toseland's bands set (ironically called "Crash"). Turned out the whole of the area went down. The only lights left on in the club were 2 emergency lights. Anyway, James was signing autographs and stuff from the stage, so I decided to screw everyone else and try get a photo with him. Well, with a little team work from me and Sophie... I am happy. Initially Sophie got his attention (she's small so she squeezed to the front easier than me) and pointed him in my direction, I grabbed his hand and pulled myself up on stage (don't think he was expecting that), and I also stood on his foot quite badly when I realised I was about to stand on someone's pedal board (don't think he expected that either!), but I got the photo none-the-less! We called a taxi thinking the gig was going to end there (apparantly the cops were on the way to evacuate the building), but thankfully the power came back on just before we got in the taxi! The rest of the gig was a blast and being as half the crowd had left it was a bit more intimate. His band were actually really good, they did all covers but they were really well rehearsed. James has one hell of a voice and is amazing on piano; he's a trained Jazz pianist. A couple of pics: The perspective is a bit weird, I was holding the camera up really high. I also got to meet his manager, it was odd really, after all the fuss to get to meet James Toseland, his manager was just stood at the back of the crowd watching the band, I walked past him, realised who it was, stopped, said hello and shook his hand, and was off again, it was nice. What a great night!
