Until yesterday, our highs were in the 80's still. Then a "cold" front blew in...now it's in the 50's. That's pretty cold for us so far. Snow? I wish. That would be fun, for awhile. Trust me... it get old very quickly.. shovelling it really takes the fun out of it...

Yeah, getting snow once every decade is what makes it special here. And we hear from the more well off northerners who live here in the winter to escape. Snowbirds we call 'em. Some never leave, and don't miss it one bit.

It seems to me that the only folks who like snow are skiers and people who live in areas that rarely get snow. It starts snowing here in late November/early December and we won't see our last until sometime in March (sometimes April). By mid-December, I HATE it. It's cold, turns to slush and freezes on the streets...it's cold, dark and ugly here for months at a time. Yeesh. I only like snow on 12/24 and 12/25. After that, it's just a pain in my ass. So said the Crank.

We don't get too much here, a little maybe between mid feb and mid march but i hate it, we'll get like 2inches of snow fall and the city grinds to a halt, then it turns to slush and sits around for weeks.

There are only a few times that I actually enjoy snow... during a snow storm (only if I don't have to drive in it) I love how everything is silenced during a snow storm... I enjoy looking at the trees just after a snowfall... And like Hunter its nice if we have snow around Christmas... But if you have any where to be or anything you have to do... snow just gets in the way.. and by mid February/March - the snow is pretty much black and grey and just makes everything look ugly and the plows make the snow banks too high and its hard to see without practically driving into the intersection first.... We've been lucky this past few years - we haven't had too much... Global warming? lol
