Isn't Absinthe the alcohol that makes you hallucinate? Illegal here in the states.....

I read somewhere that it doesn't ACTUALLY make you hallucinate, but I've never tried it myself. It's legal in small amounts in some provinces, but Manitoba is not one of them.

I've heard that it tastes horrible though. But then, so does Jagermeister, and I really like it

the absinthe they have now apparently is really watered down so that its not as 'potent' as how it used to be made (my apparent theory)...thujone is some wormwood ingredient that has THC components (what marijuana has) is some herb they put in but modern absinthe either dont have it at all or the amount is so small it wudn have an effect... i got mine off ebaycos theres this hoohah abt australia not selling absinthe with thujone in generic liqour stores so i decided to try it out of impulsiveness... the high is somewhat different though for some reason and i must say it makes u sleep real good...the charm of it is in its preparation (my opinion)... its supposed to be a slow drink thats why i like it...

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a BIG fan of it. Apparently so were many other famous French artists and writers of the period. It did for late eighteenth century art what cocaine did for art and music in the late seventies/eighties.
Remember all that lousy electronica nonsense from the eighties? Need another reason not to do coke?

I've had this absinthe with these gold burr thingys in it that cut your throat so it goes into your bloodstream quicker. I don't recall hullicinating, but then again I don't recall much from that night.
