You know what... my only advice... Do your best in school, and get into a field where you can actually make half decent money. Slacking off in school - will only cause much more grief and heartache later in life... I wish I had of done better research when I picked my career...

Looking back, I wish I had worked harder during high school. I actually barely graduated. Went to work after high school as a landscaper, but got tired of that and decided to go to tech school. Found my niche (Drafting, AutoCAD). Going back to college (after dropping out one time) was the best decision I've ever made.
Take advantage of your time now in school, you'll be glad you did later on down the road...

Listen to this lady! she's talkin sense, i know from personal experience, if you think school sucks now, try spending 45/50 years of your life in a career that sucks and pays ass, effort put in now will reap greater rewards in the future.

However, I am damn lucky to have the opportunity to be here and luckier still that I'll graduate this school (about 75% of students in my demographic don't make it). Sacrifice now because you damn sure don't want to have to sacrifice later.

Cmon, Hs isn't that bad. Now college is a bunch of bullshit, though I'm sticking with it since most jobs now adays like that peice of paper saying you passed a bunch of tests for a 1 day a week class. IMHO, don't go after a job that pays alot, go after one you'll enjoy. What good is money if your miserable.

School does suck at times, but you know what? So will the best of jobs. So, get used to it now, because if you keep that kind of attitude, you're setting yourself up for a long road of heartaches and headaches.
Just remember that all of the choices you make now, are going to have an effect on your future, in one way or another. It's up to you whether the choice you make is the one that's going to have a positive outcome, or come back to bite you in the ass later on down the road.
You tell me which skipping school is going to do...

Yup. School was tough because most high school kids just aren't into it. When you're that age, it's hard to think about your life any further along the road than next weekend. I'm like most of you; I didn't care for school. Not for the academic part, I liked that. It was the running for my life damn near every day. (I went to school in a place that was modeled after a state penal insititution. Growing up, I thought our school motto was "There he is, let's get him..."
(yeah, I know I've told that before but it's funny and it's true!)
I went to college later in life (post military) and really enjoyed it. You wanna know what the secret is to doing well in school? Very, very simple. Be interested in the subject you're studying. If you're interested in it, you can't help but do well. But if you're bored or you hate it, it's a struggle.
But the advice is accurate. Do your best now and more importantly, find something that you really want to do for the rest of your life.
But like has been said, even the best of jobs suck some times. There's a reason they call it "work".

I went back to my high-school today, because I'm in town and wanted to visit my non-graduate friends. It was weird. I basically sat in math class with them and helped them with understanding algorithms or something. It's funny, because I only vaguely understood it when I was taking it. I always liked high-school anyway, though. Once you get to university, you realize how much fun high-school was.

But seriously, do your best whilst you're in school, it'll pay off in the long run. Doing well at school allowed me to go to college and do my a-levels, which then allowed me to do a degree in music, which i'm really enjoying. I never really liked any subjects that I did in school or whilst doing my A-levels (I mean I liked some of them but wasn't crazy about them), but it's payed off up to now. I'll probably be unemployed in a year and a half though.
